30 years of history
The company began as a joinery-shop and has now become a key player in the domestic market. Our past is marked by constant change and the pursuit of development. The last three decades encapsulate the story of a family business, partnership relations, friendships, and the persistent efforts of the employees who work within it.
The beginnings
At the age of 18, Zoltán Hajkó founded his carpentry business in 1992 in the garage of his family home. His brother János joined the venture, and together they began an exciting new chapter in their lives. The brothers, deviating from the constraints of the industry, started manufacturing unique pieces of furniture, complete with fronts they painted themselves.
First milestone
The initial successes continued. Production first moved to a 100-square-metre facility, then to a 400-square-metre industrial hall. The team expanded to 30 members, and the third brother, Tibor, joined the company. The business was producing close to 3,000 square metres of painted doors per month, and business relationships were established to facilitate sales.
These business relationships turned into friendships, leading to a fruitful outcome when Zoltán started a joint venture with his former partner, Zsolt Szabó, in Mezőberény. In this 2,000 square metre factory hall, one part is dedicated to the production of fronts, while the other part specialises in line furniture production.
New technology
Recognising the further potential in the manufacture of furniture fronts, Zoltán and Zsolt concluded their serial furniture production and together established Nett Front Ltd., which focused exclusively on the production of fronts.
In the life of the enterprise, the first significant investment in Hungary takes place. Expanding their machinery with a membrane press allows for the introduction of foil-coated products in their product range. Consequently, the monthly production capacity reached 8,000 square metres.
Pioneering role
The business continues its constant development. The production capacity doubled to 16,000 square metres. The operation spanned 5,000 square metres with 80 employees, incorporating ever more advanced technologies and machinery. Nett Front became an official supplier for the German company ALNO, thereby entering the international market. Each month, 16 trucks left the Mezőberény site bound for domestic and international destinations.
International expansion
Nett Front reached a new peak this year: the quantity of manufactured furniture doors hit an annual level of 300,000 square metres. The successful business model established at home was exported abroad: they established Nett Front's factory in Romania with the addition of new partner András Bartha.
Turning point, transformation
The economic crisis reduced the company's size by a third. This necessitated a strategic shift. Nett Front moved away from mass production of large series to serving unique customer requirements and became the first in Hungary to develop the process of single-piece series production, combined with industrial technology.
Second milestone
With the new direction in focus, Nett Front once again embarked on significant developments. The properties were revitalised through greenfield investments. Robots and production lines replaced traditional technologies. As a result of the investment, by 2019 the group's production area exceeded 20,000 square metres, and it employed nearly 250 people.
In 2021, the Hungarian-Romanian group disbanded and continues separately in Hungary and Romania. The two companies operate as strategic partners.
To the present day
Nett Front Ltd. came entirely into the ownership of the Hajkó family. Áron Hajkó, representing the second generation, joined the family business.
A new mindset emerged, defining new goals and principles for the future while respecting the company's core values.
Nett Front opened its exclusive showroom in Budaörs, presenting its products with complete interior solutions to its customers.
